                          Welcome To The Isaiah Project
“The poor and needy search for water, but there is none; their tongues are parched with thirst. But I the LORD will answer them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.” (Isaiah 41:17) Thank you for visiting The Isaiah Project website. Please check out David’s bio, our Proposal to the San Diego City Council, as well as our blog and pics. We’ll keep you posted about the latest news, and ways you might be able to help.

Sincerely,

Bill Sharp Gerry Limpic David Ross For over three years, David Ross, “The Water Man”, has been handing out bottles of water, one at a time, to the homeless and displaced in Downtown San Diego.

Every day, all day , 7 days a week, he makes his rounds, taking breaks to rest.... then to load more cases of water into the trunk of his Hyundai, to start again. Until recently, David has been able to do his work relatively unnoticed. There has been an occasional Reader article or Union Tribune footnote, but for the most part David has operated “under the radar”, quietly reaching out to the displaced, hurting, and lost who live way downtown.

It’s not David’s style to bring attention to himself, he prefers to spend his energy on people, not public relations.

That’s why we, some friends and supporters of David Ross, started The Isaiah Project... to help him do what he does best, to give out water... and hope.

Our plans include mobilizing the City of San Diego to provide portable restroom facilities and drinking water Downtown and to continue to provide resources for water, blankets, and clothing. And more.

The need is great, but together we can help. Keep out
